A weekend in New York City followed by a short trip to πŸ‡§πŸ‡² Bermuda

Today we left for a weekend in New York– hoping for a stroll in Central Park, lunch at a few favorite restaurants, a walk on the High Line; and great jazz at Lincoln Center to help JALC celebrate Ella Fitzgerald’s πŸ’― th birthday.

Saturday will bring the Pultizer- prize winning  Broadway show, Sweat

We used the Hotels Tonight app to get last minute reservations at good prices– Le Parker Meridien is convenient to both shows and was a steal– and with TDF we scored $41 tix to the Broadway show.  Sunday we are off to Bermuda for a few days. Oh, yeah — and the pup is home with a babysitter.

Driving past Central Park in the spring is so invigorating! Everyone out in shorts with ear buds hanging as they jog or walkbabies in strollers; trees are flowering, and the sunshine (it’s 84!) just makes me smile.  View from our room on the 22nd floor gives us a peek of the green trees of the park between the towering Essex House and the Park Hyatt.   Walking to Rue 57 around the corner for dinner. It’s the season for outside dining, which makes me smile!

Central Park was filled with avid walkers and bikers– Alice in Wonderland was well- loved today.
